Kris and I met in Florence, Italy 2005 during a study abroad program. I thought she was so unique and pretty. I wanted to be friends with her so I invited her to have pizza with me one afternoon. We ended up being very comfortable with each other right off the bat. I learned so much about her in such a short time, and that connection has never faded in the five years that I've known her. I don't see her as often as I would like, but the comfort remains when I do. She was my very first model. I would make her do weird things with swim caps and clothes pins when we were living in the same house in Florence.

This is my most recent photo session with her at her apartment. She's a terrific painter that teaches art to little kids that don't have art programs at their school. She's a gem for sure.
