This was an experiment. I wanted to try to catch Michael as I know him: Intense, wise, passionate, adventurous. He's a dreamer that dreams big and he always talks about doing something great, and how one day... he'll move and he'll finally do what he wants to do. Except he never really did it.

He moved to Michigan for a while and we weren't in contact much until he called and said he was coming to Chicago for one night and wanted to take photos with me.

Since he taught me how to "see" when he showed me how to break into my first abandoned building, I obviously was happy to work with him. Turns out he had been working at a shitty grocery store in Ithica for the past few months to save up for a trip.

The day after this picture was taken, he moved to Paris. And I am so proud of him. You can read about it here: Michaels Blog
