2017 was an intense year. It was my first as a mom, and finding a work/life balance has not been easy. For eight months I stayed home with my son during the week and shot weddings on the weekends, eventually taking a couple days a week to run my business. Slowly but surely, I am figuring out how to do both. Between diaper changes, play dates, and chasing a very active toddler around the house, I fortunately still found some time to shoot — these are a few of my favorite photos from the year.
I shot my biggest commercial job yet for Bedsider.org, a non-profit that empowers women to choose the right birth control option. I got to photograph real couples and women with an amazing team, and we built a custom stock library out of the results. I also was able to travel to my favorite place on earth — Sifnos Island — and do a photo diary for Travel + Leisure. I shot a few bands, a lot of beautiful families, some brand new babies, my sister's incredible birth, a few stunning women, a handful of head shots, a bunch of weddings, a couple charity shoots for the ACLU and Puerto Rico, and of course took a ridiculous amount of photos of my new favorite subject, Rowan.
I am beyond grateful to all my clients who trusted me and allowed me the absolute pleasure of photographing their faces and moments.
Happy New Year to you all!
